Tina's Traditional Old English Kitchen is a pop-up British Tea Room & mobile tea party catering business, serving the Indianapolis area, and specializes in elegant tea party events and authentic British Afternoon Teas, Dinners and Cooking Classes. You can sample an Afternoon Tea at Dawson's Too, 773 E Main St, Brownsburg and at the Soho Café in Carmel on selected Sundays (check www.TinasTraditional.com for dates) Owner, Speaker, Writer and Traditional Food Chef, Tina Jesson moved to Indianapolis from the Derbyshire region of England in 2008, when her husband was relocated to Indianapolis with Rolls Royce Aero Engines. Finding that the people she met in Indianapolis were ‘real foodies’ and appreciated some of her home cooked English food and Vintage Tea Party & Afternoon Tea fare, she launched the business in 2011. Tina has been cooking Traditional British cuisine for over 20 years, learning the skill of English Farm House Cooking from 3 generations of family cooks while growing up in England. A trained educator she offers Cooking & Food Preparation classes, classes in British Table Etiquette, workshops in Tea Tastings and is a sort after speaker on the History of Tea and the Health Benefits of Tea. Tina is a regular chef on the IndyStyle TV show and you may have seen her featured in the Indy Star.
Tina's Traditional also caters tea parties and dinners for private events in your home, at your office or church location. Tina will personally oversee all aspects of your party from menu creation, ingredients, cooking from scratch, provision of hired vintage china tablewear and she acts as your tea or dinner hostess, so you can concentrate of entertaining your guests without worry.
